COMMON CODE VIOLATIONS:
 
Conditions of Structure
Sec. 17-Art, II
The maintenance of a structure is the responsibility of the property owner. Structures must be maintained in a weather-tight, rodent-proof, sound condition, and in good repair.
   

Inoperable or Junked Vehicle
Sec. 17-181 (9) a

Any vehicle that CAN NOT be physically or legally driven upon the roadway.
   
Overgrown Grass Weeds
Sec. 17-181 (4)
The uncontrolled growth of grass or other ground cover that exceeds 12'' inches in height.
   
House Hold Garbage
Sec. 11
Cans must be removed from roadway within 24 hours of collection day and placed out of view from street. Cans shall be tightly covered at all times.
   
Outside Storage
Sec. 17-181 (7)
The accumulation or open storage, of any abandoned, discarded unused items.
   
Building Material Debris
Sec. 11-8 (d)
Building and demolition debris, such as fencing, bricks, floor tiles, and doors are not included in the household waste pick-up service.
   
Yard Sale (s)
Yard sales are to be held only once a month on the Second Saturday of every month.
   
Vacant Structures & Land
All vacant structures and premises thereof or vacant land shall be maintained in clean, safe secure and sanitary condition.
   
Exterior Painting
All wood and metal surfaces including  window frames, doors, door frames, cornices, porches and trim shall be maintained in good condition. Peeling, flaking and chipped paint shall be eliminated and surfaces repainted.
   
Address Numbers
For safety purpose all buildings (residence[6”] & Business[8”]) must have the address posted on the front of the structure and be clearly visible from the road-way.
   
Mobile Home Skirting
All mobile homes must have skirting . Existing skirting shall be maintained free from broken or missing sections, pieces, or cross members.
   
Extermination
All structures shall be kept free from insect and rat infestation.
   
Driveways & Sidewalks
Must be maintained and in good repair ( ie: No holes, breaks etc…)
   
Animals & Fowls
Must be kept in a clean and sanitary condition and cannot be a disturbance to your neighbors.
   
Roofs
Roof and flashing shall be sound and tight and shall admit no rain.
   
Roof Drainage
Rain spouts shall be in good repair and free from any obstructions.
   
Porches,Stairways,Decks &Balconies
Must be in good repair with proper anchorage and capable of supporting live and dead loads.
   
Doors - Exterior
Must be in good condition, weather tight, and locks shall tightly secure the door. Door ways shall be free from obstructions.
   
Water Meter Accessibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to assure that the water meter is accessible and available to ensure proper readings. If not accessible, errors and inconsistencies are the sole responsibility of the customer.
   
Sound Amplifying Devices
